It's been great, but I could definitely use some relaxation.

[ there's a small lapse in his responses, because he's real glad that she liked it. it took forever to pick out the gifts he sent people, since he wanted them to be just right. ]

[ he heads down to the lobby and goes to the garage to get his slingshot, so they can drive there on their own this time. ]

[As promised, it's not even a full fifteen minutes before she arrives in the lobby.]

Serenity! [ tail wagging starts. ] I thought I could drive us there, so we wouldn't have to bother with the train and we can stay as long as we like.

Heehee-- sorry to keep you waiting. That would be great! I'll leave the driving to you then.

[ he climbs inside and starts it up. ] I thought about packing a lunch, but I figured we could stop somewhere when we leave if you're hungry. [ his tail starts flitting about, because he's excited~ ]

[Climbs in on the passenger's side after him.]

Oh! That's a wonderful idea. Since we'll already be out in the city, it would be really nice to eat out for a change.

[ as soon as she's in he's going to be taking off. ] I haven't had a chance to check out most restaurants, so it could be fun to do a restaurant crawl and eat a bunch of small portions. [ or a bunch of big portions. he's almost ALWAYS hungry so it'd probably be fine. ]

Then a restaurant crawl it is! There are a lot of places I still haven't eaten at either.

It's settled then. [ AND WE'RE OFF. ] ...so how did the holiday season go for you? Did you get a lot of stuff?

It was really nice. Bad End had a little party and a got a number of really wonderful gifts.

[His bracelet and Lily's star necklace being two of them she's wearing right now.]

What about you?

I got a few gifts; the ones from yourself included. [ smiles. ] And we had a bit of a party... I, ah, guess.

[ pulls into the onsen. ]

It was nice though.

I'm so glad. I don't think a party has to be much to be nice-- as long as you get to spend time with the people you care about and have fun.

[Gets out and streeeetches a little.]

Mm, it wasn't so bad.

[ he parks and follows suit, getting out and stretching as well. ] Shall we? [ offers a claw to her. ]

Oh-- right. I guess you did get a lot of new members not long before that, huh?

[one more reason she's glad it went well.]

Why thank you. [places her hand in his claw]

... [ he looks down for a moment and then nods. ] Yes. Taisho's turnover rate has been pretty... bad. I'm hoping things level out soon and we can become more stable. I guess we'll see though. [ he shrugs and then takes her hand, leading her into the onsen and the showers. ]

[ he's got no shame, so he strips and cleans off, grabbing a towel afterward, but putting it on his head instead of around his waist, lol. ]

...I heard it was like that for my unit a bit before Hope and I came. But with you and Phoenix there, I'm sure whatever happens, Taisho will be in good hands.

[She has shame in herself specifically, but-- if he's not going to be bothered than she's determined not to be either! so she undresses and gets a towel to wrap around herself.]

It can be hard on the older members, having to see people come and go... especially when you're trying to make a few meaningful connections in this awful place, since that's one of the only things capable of keeping a person sane. [ he smiles. ] Thank you, Serenity.

[ as soon as she strips he'll walk a circle around her and smirk. ] Looking real good. [ bumps his head into her as he nudges her toward the spring. ]

Yeah, I can tell it's been hard for Silk and Thorn too. But there's no need to to thank me-- it's true.

[She abruptly loses her train of thought when he not only takes notice of her but points it out too. Sometimes you're attracted to a friend and naturally assume it's one-sided.]

W-well you... l-look pretty good yourself...

[Trusting her towel to behave, she takes the nudge but grabs his claw to pull him in with her.]

I haven't even been there that long and it's been hard on me, but I... think that might be for different reasons... [ shrugs. ]

Heh. [ he snickers at that. ] Oho? Do you really think so Serenity? [ honestly, color him surprised, since he doesn't assume that most people are into monsters. ]

[ he pulls her close and heads into the onsen, nuzzling her side as soon as they enter and letting the steam encapsulate him. ] Ah, it already feels amazing in here~ [ shakes his towel off his head and smirks... giving a little tug on hers. ] Shall we~?

If you want to talk about it...

[She won’t press, but she wants him to know he can if it would help. But she’s quickly back to being flustered.]

...o-of course. I wouldn’t lie about that.

[She heads in and immediately feels her body soaking in the warmth in the air.] You’re right. This is nice. [She sees him tug at her towel and— her cheeks turn pink, but... she unfastens it; dropping it off to the side.] Mmhm. Let’s go in.

Not right now. Maybe some other time though... I just want to enjoy the afternoon.

[ smirks. ] I am one of a kind~ [ as soon as he reaches the edge of the onsen he jumps in and sinks all the way in up to his neck, all of his eyes shutting as he lets the hot water relax him. ]

Of course.

[Right. Relaxation was the priority. She leans back and looks over at him, smiling as she watches him sink in.]
