I think he's an independent, resourceful person. He can be kind and friendly-- but not always to himself. And it's not easy for him to rely on others, even though I think it's probably lonely for him.

He's one of my housemates so-- I care deeply for him, and I want to support him the best I can.

I don't... know what to do with that love, with the way this place is.

For starters... try to focus on what you have control over. When it comes to the things we can't control-- the rest of us might be able to help you. I'll do everything I can to try protect the two of you from whatever the fairies throw our way. Even if I can't guarantee it will always work.

[She puts a gentle hand on his shoulder.]

The rest is up to the two of you. What kind of relationship you want... the boundaries you want to set... People want different things from relationships. It's important that you talk about those things. Not just for him, but for you too.

[makes a disgruntled noise, but leans into her hands.]

Of course I worry about you. I wouldn't have come to you if you weren't very important to me and someone I trust.

But I didn't give it enough thought, given our... relations. How it might be, to ask this of you.

[Relaxes her fingers and cradles his cheeks for a moment.]

That's... I'm sorry. I didn't want to bring it up because I knew that would only make things more difficult for you.

[She takes a deep breath and looks at him.]

What happened back then... wasn't your fault. And my feelings aren't your burden to bear. Rather than apologize... focus on your own happiness. I'd like that a lot more.
