[ ...Well isn't that a pretty correction. Lupine's gaze is noticeably a little more heated. ]
Oh yeah?
[ It really barely takes any concentration at all to get vines for her; the crawling ivy kind that come down buildings, since for convenience there's a nice stone wall not too far from them. It should be thin and kind of delicate, and if he were using rapunzel it would be, but the nymph plays by different rules: he can just make this ivy thicker, stronger, and much more mobile as it spills rapidly down over the stone.
[Having that kind of gaze directed at her just makes her want to see how much more she can turn up the heat. Feeling emboldened by his reactions so far, she decides to… open up a bit and give him what he asked for. Her own eyes burn with the same heat when he looks up at him.]
Have your way with me. Any way—- as many ways as you want. As many times as you want.
I can be whatever kind of captive you want me to be… whether you want me to beg or maybe… take me by force…
[ ...Boy, he sure is glad he asked for a safe word, and even so Lupine's eyes are widening a little. He blinks once, then twice, then — smiles, but softer again. ]
That's the way you wanna play it?
[ He wiggles the fingers on one hand and the vines stretch out, away from the wall, towards her. ]
Because I dunno, Rene. I kinda think... [ Deceptively light: ] If you're gonna be begging, I want it to be because I'm doing something worth begging for.
[ He might be able to get into the spirit of a real noncon fantasy, but. Not right now. It's a little thorny. He wants to know her better. He wants to not have the nymph card for it, because the nymph card might just agree to anything if she wants it enough. And in the meantime, well... he can certainly debauch her very thoroughly. ]
[Somehow she’s still surprised when he doesn’t laugh or brush her off in some way. It was easier for her to make things about others. So she thought if she could figure out what he’d like, she could at least try to make it good for him. Who would have guessed her actions could backfire on her in such a way? The siren card only amplified her own insecurities, so the idea that he might be interested in her specifically continues to throw her off.
There had to be another explanation, right? It was the scene or… something. Not her. That’s why she thought maybe if she played it up…
Instead he smiles and her heart flutters weakly.]
W-well… I thought maybe… you’d like that kind of thing better. It’s still kind of hard to believe that you’re really into me like that. So I thought I should be the one making it worth your while. N-not the other way around. This is… more than enough for me.
[ ...oh, Rene. ] [ His expression softens a lot more, maybe also cooling a tiny bit in a certain way, but. Just to say that it's warm instead of hot. She's wrong, but just at the moment it might really seem like she was right. ]
—Well, that sounds like a load of crap. [ Kindly, but he is genuinely upset with whoever put that crap in her head. ] Because first of all, you're beautiful, and anyone would be lucky to have a shot with you.
Ah-- sorry. I'm... usually better about that. But for some reason I feel more self-conscious than usual.
[She (and the card itself) are really the only ones to blame. Although there are a few people who's misconceptions and teasing didn't necessarily help back home.]
Still... it means a lot to me. It's always a nice feeling... knowing you've caught the eye of someone you were interested in.
[ And he might actually connect it to the card, because it seems like exactly the same kind of thing the were card did to him, that the nymph card is currently doing to him, just with a different trait, but uhhhh. ]
—You were interested in me?
[ Whoops, this sure is kind of an issue they share, even though it looks a little different on him. Less fluster, more blank surprise. ]
Mm-hmm. I guess you could say it was mostly... intuition. I had a feeling you were my type for a while now. Well, besides knowing I found you really attractive. [...] Although I wasn't really sure it would be the same for you... so I didn't really say anything. I didn't want to make things awkward-- because I really like you as a friend and ally too.
[ And surprised, very visibly. He is kind of just barely refraining from pointing at himself, like. 'Me? You're sure?' But it helps that the rest of what she's saying is so distracting. ]
Heh. You know — when I first got here? I wasn't sure I wanted to go there with anyone. Or at least, not with anyone on my own unit. Same kind of reasoning, really; you've gotta be able to trust each other, work together. Hell, you've gotta be able to live together, at least twice a week. Sex can... really mess that kind of thing up.
[ A beat. ]
But we also go through a lot in this place, even when they're not literally killing us. It's stressful. It's exhausting. A little bit of messing around, well—
[ He cuts himself off, seeming to consider his words for a long moment, but then he shrugs. Offers up a crooked smile. ]
Endorphins take the edge off.
[ And as deliberately casual as his tone is, Lupine's gaze is also very intent on Rene's face. Watching for her reaction. Watching to see if she — gets what he's driving at. ]
[Even she wouldn't try to argue she has the best taste. But she definitely wouldn't change it, either.]
...yeah. It was a bit of meddling on the production's part that gave me the push it took to take that first step. But I realized that a little mess would still be worth what I got out of it in the long run.
As long as we're honest with ourselves and each other... if what we want is the same, I don't see any reason not to enjoy it. I don't think it has to be any more complicated than that.
[That crooked smile... she's weak. Winking, she nods her head.]
[She understands. Though the latter comment causes a breathless giggle to bubble up. Irony is always a bit funny that way. But the humor is equally matched by the thrum of excitement as she feels her wrists caught by the vines.]
I think we can make a few small exceptions this time-- don't you?
Small? [ The vines are starting to tug her wrists behind her, making them nicely prone at her back. ] I dunno, they'll be stronger if they're... thicker.
[ Lipquirk. ]
That was so bad, I'm sorry.
[ But he does slide in closer, the vines drawing her back sweetly but insistently to the aforementioned wall behind her~. Eyes lidding, ]
Re: Lupine
I don’t know about “do for me” but… there are a lot of things I’d like you to do to me.

Mm. Yeah... they do.
Re: Lupine
So. A little harmless fun? No strings attached.
[ He can do that. Lower: ]
Though I guess it depends on how strictly you're defining strings.
[ Vines coming up behind her again. They left off while he was... concerned and surprised, but they're back again. Catching at her wrists, to start. ]
