Celes is working hard when she gets a phone call. Looking it's from her aunt. It's not like them to call during the day-- usually they check on her in the evenings, after work... or when she should be done with work even if she's overdoing it, so they can make sure she's not. So she's a bit concerned and takes it.

Her aunt Martha and uncle Fred are both there-- she can hear her cousin Kai in the background too fretting about her.

It's a difficult phone call to get through. It hits her pretty hard, when they tell her that her grandfather has passed away. She insists that no matter what, she'll make it home for the services. But she tries her best to be strong over the phone but there are soft cracks in her voice.

Once the call is over she gets away for a little while... gives herself room to cry.
