[There are individuals with weapons all around-- those in military-like uniforms and others in plainer clothes. It's very clear how high the tension runs between the individuals. But this memory focuses on an exchange between Celes and another man.
She tries to argue that he wouldn't have killed Angie as he claims-- they were best friends. He however, disagrees and insists that he did. And he punctuates his betrayal by pushing a button and causing a large red airship in the distance to explode. Several people including her are devastated by this, knowing full well the people who are on board that ship.
Her legs give out, the strength drained right out of her and tears begin pouring down her cheeks. She's lost the last of her friends and a lot of other people she respected and cared for besides. And the danger is far from over. All she can do for the moment is cry.]
You're on board a large red airship, sailing through the skies effortlessly, making your way towards the hanger, where everyone's waiting. As soon as the doors open, you see them all-- and it's a rush of relief. You have a touching reunion with a black-haired young man and his classmates. It's clear the two of you made some pretty important promises to one another-- and you're very glad he kept them and is alive with you now.
Afterwards, everyone proceeds to a conference room on one of the upper floors to hold a proper meeting.
During which it's explained that the Courageous-- this airship-- began acting independently right before Heimdallr was first occupied. Realizing what the Noble Alliance was planning, Prince Olivert gathered just enough crew to get it moving as well as Viscount Arseid to captain it and hurried to Trista where they found several students locked in combat with the Azure Knight. They explain that they've been travelling since, preparing to take Class VII on board.
It maps out a civil war currently in effect and a group of military students doing their best to chart their own path through it.
You also get a beautiful view of the sky and then later, the natural paths and lush greenery as the ship descends.
As they disembark, Viscount Arseid prepares to leave and takes off his captain's hat, telling Celes he's leaving her in charge of the Courageous' day-to-day operations. He had every faith that she would make a fine acting captain. She tells him it would be an honor and puts it on, turning to ask the other how it looks to positive feedback.
It's a memory of a class dedicated to talking about the Erebonian Empire's history and more importantly-- the history of Thors Military Academy, founded by Emperor Dreichels Reise Arnor in S.985 following the War of the Lions. There's a lot of honor and pride that goes into the discussion of the subject for all the students, Celes included.
"Arise, O youth, and become the foundation of the world"... the famous words which the school had been founded on.
It is a legacy that all students of Thors Military academy carries on, and one that they take great pride in upholding.
Four friends are gathered around a motorcycle, working on it. Or-- more specifically two of them are, while Celes and Corvus from Gelato hover nearby. The young man in the yellow jumpsuit seems to be making some adjustments while the woman with purple hair tests them out.
The whole time the four of them chat and banter back and forth, laughing and having a great time.
When they're finished, the four of them sit together and eat burgers. You can sense the deep bond Celes feels with each and every one of them and a great deal of love too.
It's a large celebration taking part in what is easily recognizable as a grand palace. There are many individuals present-- including the royal family and other key government and military figures. Celes spends time talking with several groups. Some which she recognizes as people she went to school with, others she addresses as students and even more which she seems to become tense around, while still maintaining a polite level of respect.
One of her former underclassmen "Alisa" teases her about whether or not she has a crush on "Rean", one of her colleagues, to Celes' utter mortification. But on a whole, the conversations are light and pleasant. Being addressed by "Chancellor Osborne" leaves her anxious, but he seems genuinely pleased with her work and only seems to express that he's disappointed he didn't snatch her up as part of his own staff.
It's long and drawn out but everyone seems to be taking some much needed time to enjoy each other's company and enjoy all the fine food the palace has to offer.
Celes stands near the train station in a quaint little town getting her bearings when a familiar face steps out of the station and she goes to catch up with him. "Rean" is someone she went to school with-- and who will be working with her as a teacher at the brand new Thors Military Academy Branch Campus.
There are certainly nerves as they discuss starting their new jobs together, but also an excitement and the desire to do well despite the obvious challenges ahead.
It's clear that there are definitely some reservations to be had about the Branch Campus and why it was created-- as well as those who ended up working there.
Celes is working hard when she gets a phone call. Looking it's from her aunt. It's not like them to call during the day-- usually they check on her in the evenings, after work... or when she should be done with work even if she's overdoing it, so they can make sure she's not. So she's a bit concerned and takes it.
Her aunt Martha and uncle Fred are both there-- she can hear her cousin Kai in the background too fretting about her.
It's a difficult phone call to get through. It hits her pretty hard, when they tell her that her grandfather has passed away. She insists that no matter what, she'll make it home for the services. But she tries her best to be strong over the phone but there are soft cracks in her voice.
Once the call is over she gets away for a little while... gives herself room to cry.
There's a festival going on and everyone seems to be having fun-- there are several events in the city people are taking part in. "Rean", one of your fellow teachers invites you to join him in a few. There's a mascot show with a fuzzy cat-like creature named Mishy. It's clearly aimed at the younger crowd, but it's clear he has fans of all ages. Celes herself gets excited cheering him on.
And later you create a unique loaf of bread together-- "Stargazin' Raisin bread" -- it's such a silly name, but the bread you made together tastes really good and it was a lot of fun.
The day itself is filled with laughter and good memories, something kept near and dear to your heart.
With the bit of spare time you have while your back in your hometown, you've coordinated with your co-worker "Rean" so that he can join your family for dinner, since your aunt and uncle suggested it. What follows however is an embarrassing affair where your aunt and uncle suggest that you'd make a wonderful wife and the two of you should get married, have kids... You've never felt your face get so hot in all of your life. Even if you want that, it's... you don't want him to have to endure your family like this.
Even with your attempts to stop them it's clear that the feeling you have for him is undoubtedly love. It doesn't matter to you if he doesn't return those feelings-- just being able to be with him and knowing that he's safe is enough. You love him that much.
But marriage... would be a nice. Even if it's just a wild dream.]
